Who’s Using TelePrEP?
Most of our PrEP users are new to PrEP, and more than one-third are uninsured. We deliver telePrEP care at no out-of-pocket cost. What’s more, uninsured users are never turned away. We use the 340B Drug Pricing Program, Affordable Care Act coverage, and manufacturer patient assistance programs to get PrEP to those who need it.
More than 80% of our users choose at-home testing options. However, the full MISTR care experience includes video clinician visits, PrEP prescribing, contracted laboratory testing, and patient support (including prior authorizations and insurance appeals). Our users can also access doxycycline postexposure prophylaxis (PEP) for times when exposure has already happened.
